Things to Drink

I have discovered a love of loose leaf tea. Green tea, black tea, fruit infusions.

I bought myself a great little glass tea pot with a metal infuser inside so I can watch the tea ‘ develop ‘.

My favourite tea at the moment, is a lovely orange and cinnamon mix, yummy!

Lately, though, I have been thinking about other non-alcoholic drinks…

I am wondering what other people think of alcohol free cider or beers?

Funnily, or Not, advertising on my Facebook etc, is now showing me Non-alcoholic beverages and the like. Hmm… There is actually a non alcoholic gin, Who Knew?

I mean, what is the point if you’re not going to get drunk? Is it just to look ‘the part’ ? To fit in the society norms?

I’m wondering if people with alcohol problems actually drink these? Does it just trigger them into using the real stuff eventually – or does it help them to feel as though they are still a part of something?

Just thoughts in my mind Today… Comments would be welcome, I’m genuinely interested in what people think about this. ❤

  1. I don’t really like the taste of alcohol so theses are pointless in my opinion. For me it’s more the ritual or habit than the taste. If I drink something in a wine glass I don’t really feel like I’m missing anything on the average day. It doesn’t trigger anything, it just makes me feel less out of my zone, so maybe a similar theory holds true for alcohol-like drinks.

  2. I have the same tea pot as that and drink fresh peppermint as a pick me up and chamomile for bed time … otherwise lime and soda, or a beck blue topped with a little lemonade and as I never really drank shandy it makes me feel like I’m having one. I don’t get on with the Schloer because they’re high in calories and well it may as well be wine then… probably stupid thought but there we are x

    1. Thanks my lovely… I’m really loving my teapot , it’s fab. I’m discovering all different things to drink. I think I’m gonna try the non alcoholic beer one day, just to see what it’s all about. I can’t imagine a problem as I never drank beer to get drunk xx
Hope you are doing well? X

  3. Wine is/was my poison, beer doesn’t call me in any way but I quite like the Beck. I’m ok. Read as ok today… jees it’s day 2 again. Had the worst week and weekend and felt as though I was dying. Have written myself a message of reassurance and am trying again. X
